littledevi. This of course is not only subjective to my experience, but to how I'm feeling now; I might rank differently tomorrow with different things on my mind.
Most nifty cities:
1)Florence - no contest for me; some of the greatest art and food anywhere, so much to see and do.
2)Venice - hey, no SUVs! NONE!
3)Tie:
Manhattan (the only non-airport part of New York City I know)
Prague
5) San Francisco - one of the most beautiful natural settings of any city.
Honorable mentions: New Orleans, Seville, Merida, Chicago
And now on the other end of the scale:
Cities that Froggy did not like
Escarcega, Yucatan - the state's most modern and characterless city.
Arezzo, Tuscany (probably not so bad, but in a province cities like with Florence, Siena, Pisa, and Lucca nearby, comparitively sucky in my personal limited experience).
Little Rock, Arkansas (probably sucks less than any other place in most if not all the rest Arkansas, but that isn't saying much).
Any place where the only restaurants are fast food chains.
