Ducks enjoy a swim along the waterway formed by seepage from the temporary repair levee in the 17th Street Canal breech.

Picturesque "Bayou Brownie" is named after former FEMA chief Michael D. "Brownie" Brown, who, as President Bush so aptly observed, did "A heck of a job".

A short walk Bayou Brownie, nature lovers can find the Jim Huey Memorial Spillway, named in honor of the recently resigned Orleans Levee Board cheif.



The Jim Huey Spillway is the natural habitat of that famous mascot of New Orleans, the totaled automobile.
