I went to the Winn-Dixie supermarket today. I needed chocolate. (There were other things I wanted to pick up too.)

In the rack beside the check out line, I noticed a TV Guide. From August.

The store has been open about a week. There are other priorities.

On the subject of TV, since shortly after I last mentioned stations we've had 5 in New Orleans: 4, 8, 26, and 49 (which is broadcasting what is usually chanel 6), plus 55 out of Slidell which can be seen in Uptown sometimes depending on weather.

No PBS, alas. WYES 12, the main local PBS station, was flooded badly. Maybe they'll get up soon just running PBS feeds, I dunno. I fear much of their video library of unique local stuff may be lost.

The bar up the street with Wi-Fi has cable tv up, but no one in the neighborhood I know has working land line phones yet.

32 is up and running if you really need a PBS fix. They're carrying a feed from LPB.

And besides, I could use some chocolate, too...

Broadcasting? I've checked it repeatedly and never gotten it from my place since I've been back.

When we sneaked into Kenner to rescue The Petal's car, I was shocked to hear the utter emptiness of the FM band. I didn't know that some of the TV stations were toast as well. I simply don't know what to make of it all.

I hope YES had their tape library up on high shelves.

Still no signal on 32 for me; I think Hollie is referencing some fancy-pants cable stuff that she gets on the Westbank..
