Halloween Tumble
Oct. 30th, 2001 09:56 pmI played the Halloween Parade with the Pair-O-Dice Tumbers, thru' the streets of New Orleans on Sat 27 Oct 2001. The "Birdsong Photography" guy was with us again, generating a couple more pages of pix:

We started in the lower French Quarter at Molly's At The Market on Decatur Street, took pit stops at Tujaques' and Stage Door, then to Sweet Kathleen's Jazz Club, where some of us jammed with the band (a good one that night, including Jamie Wight cornet and the great Freddie Lonzo on trombone). Then to The Howlin' Wolf for the Halloween MOMs Ball. Great decor as always; this year to enter you had to go between a pair of giant gartered & high-heeled legs (2 stories tall-- quite impressive! I'm sure someone has a photo, but I havn't seen such yet). Much fun & decadence.
