I played Q-Bert for the first time in 20 years. I only made it to the 3rd level, but that was enough to get the 4th highest score on the machine. I'd forgotten about many things in the game, most fatally the carniverous pigs that attack from below. Will your amphibeous cyber-pal be lured back sometime when he has more than one quarter in his pocket and when the bar isn't so smoky, to rehone his atrophied formerly formidible Q-Bert skills? Oh, possibly, eventually, maybe.

Thanks. But Q-Bert just wouldn't be the same on a home computer, without the mechanically produced *PLONK* sound at foot level of the arcade machine when Q-Bert falls off the edge of his world.

Note to hephaestos=I've played with Mame before; it's pretty neat. I got addicted to Alpine Ski while doing so.

I don't know how this here laptop will take it, but it's worth another shot on the desktop machine.

Is it a tabletop game, or whatever you call it? That was my favorite way to play Centipede.

The local Vista has Ms Pac-Man and the locals still eye it warily.
