I didn't make any entry here yesterday, one of the USA's most tragically memorable days in over a generation.

However I was talking about the Terrorist Attack elsewhere on LiveJournal, first on the Libertarian community, then here, and later on various friends and friends-of-friends journals, notably here and here.

Tragedy.

This, alas, clearly shows the results of the USA's interventionist foreign policy, making thousands of bitter enemies all around the world.

This shows that we do not need a costly "Missle Defense" system to give us some false sense of security. We need to stop making so many very determined enemies who otherwise would have no more reason to attack the USA than they would Canada, Sweeden, or Switzerland.

I fear some people will use this as an excuse for increased racisim and xenophobia.

Sickening. Targeting cities, buildings, or areas with no concern for civilian casualties is always sickening.
