Monday morning there were notices up at the radio station prohibiting anyone from saying "anything denegrating to the President or to the war" on the air.

Since we're a music station. Okay.

Praising Bush and war is aparently copacetic.

Can you say stuff like, "This war is doubleplus good"? I mean, that's not denigrating. Or how about, "Despite what the whole world thinks, President Bush really isn't that much of an imperialist." I mean, that's standing up for the chimp, isn't it?

I think I'll drink some French wine and listen to some Dixie Chicks CDs.

If it's any consolation, the policy is most likely because of money rather than politics.

We all saw what happened to the Dixie Chicks when their fan base found out that they weren't loyal members of the Bush Army.

War is not healthy...

Makes me glad I never took a job in commercial radio. I have friends who were taken hostage by the Cheap Channel megalith; fortunately, they survived relatively unscathed.

Now, if our country can do the same...I still think it's all Dubya's personal war. He had his mind made up a long time ago.
