My set of pix of Mardi Gras Day in Uptown New Orleans. Caught the beautiful Rex parade from a friend's raised porch on Napoleon Avenue; a great spot to photograph the floats from.

Dear Mr. Infrogmation,

This is Glenn Smith of New Orleans. Nice picture! But here is the real reason for this post: A very dear friend of mine, who went on to teach ethnomusicology at UCLA, wrote his Tulane PhD dissertation on the Mardi Gras Indians; and rather than simply modifying the Wikipedia article on same to add a reference to this dissertation, I am hoping to gain the permission, and perhaps involvement, of the Wikipedia volunteers who maintain it. Despite much searching, it was not clear how to get in touch with you via the Wikipedia infrstructure; and hence this post. My direct email address is gsmith@space-machines.com.
