I remember the Saturday to Tuesday sequence and even to Saturday sequence well. I was on the road with work and spent Sunday evening watching tv and calling relatives. Spoke to Alan on Monday morning. By Monday night couldn't get through anymore and no word until they showed up in Oklahoma by Saturday.

Ahh, yes. The "hurricane pageant". I will never forget it, even five years later. You told the story much better than I could. I have links to this entry on my LJ today.
