Probably a secretary just accidentally erased the crucial data with her foot and nobody noticed at the time*. Ooopsie!

And yesterday Transocean issued 1 billion in dividends to its stockholders ... in Switzerland, where it is now headquartered so as to not have to pay taxes.

Also their insurance has already okayed their reimbursement for the 'accident.'
