Jay Batt, failed former Council member who refused to take being on the council as a full time job and was known for his dubious dealings when he did show up.

Jay Batt, who rammed through pet projects of special interests contrary to the best interests and expressed preferences of locals, sometimes against the unanimous votes of neighborhood organizations.

This one isn't about Republican and Democrat. (New Orleans City Council members don't get to vote on the big national issues.) It's about continuing the New Orleans reform efforts or going back to the worst of the Pre-K "business as usual".

New Orleans needs to go forward, not Battwards.

You know, I really want to know the rationale the TimesPic used to endorse that idiot. Experience? With what? Shoving his good ol boys business agenda right up the council's ass? Mid City got jack from that moron, and we'll get even less than jack if he's re-elected. My wife is convinced he's going to win because he's paid too many people to vote. I cross my fingers that my faith in the voters of Dist A is justified. Four years of this ass will set Mid City back another ten.

You were on the Facebook Anybody But Batt page last night, weren't you? For the Teens for Batt assault?

Yeah I saw that on Facebook! Weird... I wonder if a group of Batt's teenaged daughter's friends just decided to start attacking anti-Batt posters on their own or if the Batt campagin directed it.
