The article somehow neglects to mention that Switzerland also has universal healthcare.

Also fails to mention that Switzerland has one of the highest debt:GDP ratios in the world (http://paul.kedrosky.com/WindowsLiveWriter/TrackingGlobalLeverageExternalDebttoGDP_B0A0/debt-gdp_2.png). 445% compared to the US's 88%. All of Europe is basically bankrupt, and they don't even have the burden of maintaining a global police force. Socialism is expensive. It's not only not sustainable in the long term, it wouldn't even be briefly workable without the US subsidizing defense for everyone else. We are on the verge of a massive European currency crisis, which will result in lowered standards of living Europe-wide. The US has problems too, but relatively, we're in a much better position. Largely because we haven't yet promised everyone a unicorn.
