First Mardi Gras Pix
Mar. 1st, 2004 03:14 pmI picked up the cd which
mshollie burned for me of Carnival pix I took with the digital camera she kindly loaned me. Here's the first batch from this.

"A Mardi Gras Fan"
On the whole, I find the results a bit disappointing compared to film, but with all the sights at Mardi Gras its hard not to get at least a few good pix. I enjoyed the ease of use, not having to keep reloading the camera, no developing etc, but there were lots of times where I knew I would have gotten a good pic with a cheap 35 mm and wound up with grainy junk. It was an interesting experiment.

Say, is that celebrity Anna Nicole on the left?
This batch is all from c. 8:30 - 10:30 am Mardi Gras morning down in the Bywater and Fabourg Marigny neighborhoods -- fun loving locals, with no tourists evident.
