"Interests"

According to LiveJournal, I'm interested in too many things. My user profile can only have more interests added if existing interests are removed.

Any suggestions on what I should stop being interested in?

You could get rid of "Impeach Bush". Even though Dubya (still) sucks, we have Obama in office now...yay!!!

I'm interested in a lot of things myself and should pare down.

Yeah. I added those originally to help find communities or individuals interested in those subjects (or help them find me), but noticed there were already existing variations in how those interests were listed on LJ.

But first he'd have to persuade all the other interested people to pick one spelling, or else he'd lose the value of their connections.

Along which lines, those 11 interests nobody shares don't help make any connections unless someone happens to type them exactly the same way. OTOH, since most of them are proper names, the likelihood of someone's typing them exactly the same way is high. So apparently I have no advice.

You could try your interest in adding more interests. I think that would solve your problem. Of course you may not be able to swing that.

split the list in half and randomly pair up one from Column A with one from Column B to create a new, shorter list. True, you'll be the only person interested in "flying Belle Epoque neutrinos" or "wind-up cheesecake phonographs", but there's a price for every advancement of Science.
