Election lever, via [livejournal.com profile] fofalex.

Damnit, I pulled the little lever, but they won't go down the drain.

(Image from [livejournal.com profile] fofalex. Kudos!)

Eddie Haskell nabbed the Governorship on the first round. Dinosaurs co-existing with humans for everybody!

At least Lt Gov Mitch also won without a run off. And it's looking like incumbent Attorney General Foti came in 3rd-- I'll take my "Ha Haw!"s where I can get 'em.

LOL! Looks like you got floaters over there. Time for the plunger!

Seriously, I only recognize the mayor. Dunno the other two. But I assume the elections in LA landed wrong people in charge again?

No real reason for out-of-staters to recognize 'em, sorry.

The guy on the right is Governor elect Bobby Jindal.

The woman in the center is Jackie Clarkson, a former city council member who ran again and got into a run off (we'll have a chance for a 2nd flush for that one). It would take longer than it's worth to explain her, but as a sample she's been an opponent of live music in the streets of New Orleans and has said she wants the French Quarter to be returned to the state it was in the 1940s (and she didn't seem to be talking about architectural preservation...)

That always made me laugh, because it seems Clarkson is pretty clueless about what the French Quarter was really like in the 40's. From what I understand, it was rough. However, she remembers getting an ice cream or something when she was five, so she must know better than Tenessee Williams or Norma Wallace or any of those folks, right?

Eddie Haskell, hell. Greg Stillson from The Dead Zone, more like.

At least LSU won. But I'd have traded a gubernatorial run off for a season full of LSU touchdowns, and a multi year contract for Olindo Mare.
