Memage, now with added Indians
Jun. 5th, 2007 05:55 pmMemes as seen on my LJ friends list. PLUS! Mardi Gras Indians
So, infrogmation, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 8% unique
(blame, for example, your interest in yellow nunez)
and 3% herdlike
(partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy travel).
When it comes to friends you are popular. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are wary of trusting strangers.
Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is intellectual.
You are weirder than 95% of other LJers.)
Find out what your weirdness level is!
My writing style is "intellectual"? Meaning, I write the word "you" with three letters?
ancientscripts "tagged" me on the "guilt" meme. I don't know if there's any real "guilt "about these, more trashy or should know better pleasures:
Culinary: Local hand made ice cream & gelato. I know I don't need more calories, but it's so damn delicious!
Literary: I've gone through periods of reading pulpy sci-fi or old Edgar Rice Burroughs books. For a while I was also fond of the Victorian true life "explorer" books --the more clueless the "explorer" about the place and culture he was visiting the more amusing I found them. Nothing recently though, unless LiveJournal counts.
Audiovisual: I usually have some tv show I usually make a point of catching, but it changes over time. At present it's "House, M.D.". Medical Sherlock Holmes with the world's worst interpersonal skills = tv fun.
Musical: Early 20th century Tin Pan Alley. Lots of it was churned out commercial dreck, but I just find it so much more enjoyable than the churned out commercial dreck of recent decades.
Celebrity: Eh, can't think of any. Sorry.
To compensate folks for doing LJ memage, here are some more Mardi Gras Indian pics, 'cause everyone likes the Mardi Gras Indians, right? These were from the downtown "Super Sunday" at Bayou St. John, held Sunday a week ago (the latest ever, I was told, due to some Tambourine & Fan Club politics).

Big Chief Thunder

The late Big Chief Tootie Montana's son with image of his father on his suit. Fellow Mayanists: why does this remind me of Chan Balam's depictions of himself with Pacal the Great at Palenque?

Good thing there aren't kittens in this photo too, or the cuteness would be so massive as to disrupt the tides.
