This sounds interesting. "American Experience" often has some good documentaries. Premire broadcast of "New Orleans" on PBS stations tonight.

I wish I had checked LJ earlier.. I by chance caught the first hour on my own, but was unable to DVR it, so I have to wait til next Wednesday to record it and see the entire thing. (the hubby wanted to watch Heroes).

I thought this was a pretty decent documentary, for what it was. Of course it left out a lot of important aspects, but a complete history would take hours and hours of time and is just impractical, even for PBS.
