Via [livejournal.com profile] jwz:

"Datamancer" making a personal computer "the way it should have been" with the aesthetic of c. 1910 - 1925.

Very cool.

Why can't I buy something like this mass produced?

I want to connect to the Memex with an Attwater-Kent Orthophonic AE.

Clearly something is wrong with this segment of the space time continum.

Definitely classier than that Rand computer of the 50's (http://blogs.msdn.com/saurabhv/archive/2004/11/16/257989.aspx). Could use a steering wheel.

I wonder if the beige box design stems from the way personal computers came of age in the late 70's and early 80's.
