A Post Office Named Desire

Last night I dreamed that a rolling post office on a streetcar was running on the St. Charles Avenue line here in New Orleans.
This was some FEMA program. I thought it was better than most of the Federal Post-K aid programs in that it actually did something useful, in bringing streetcars back to St. Charles Avenue and increasing access to post offices, and amazingly it actually got done. At the same time I was unsurprised at the stupidly impractical aspects, as people lined up at the streetcar stops, got on the streetcar/post-office, waited in another line on the car, did their postal transactions, and then debarked at the next stop, blocks or miles away from where they wanted to be.
This was not as strange as Plinko's New Orleans related dream.
