A week ago I went to see the Oliver Stone "World Trade Center" film at the Prytania. The Prytania was the first movie house to reopen in Greater New Orleans post-K-- even more importantly, it was one of the first dozen (maybe half dozen) businesses on the East Bank between the Quarter and the Jefferson Parish line to reopen. I've been big on continuing to patronize early reopeners.

I don't know if it was a good film or not. I was able to enjoy other films I've seen at the Prytania, but for this one I was too distracted by The Elephant In Our Room. As the film showed crews digging for the trapped firemen in the WTC rubble, I could only think "My god, they had whole crews trying to rescue them THE SAME DAY!?!" and of the Americans trapped in their attics here whose corpses were discovered by the first teams to get there weeks or months later.
