The main post office in New Orleans reopened recently. I got the March 13 New Yorker in my mailbox today. I've heard some folks have recently gotten magazines from October. A local tv station that's been doing test mail showed that within town mail taking a week or more is still fairly common.

Thanks. That's the garage of a neighbor of a friend whose house I used to go to for band rehersal weekly. They were about 3 blocks from the upper breach of the London Avenue Canal.
