Date: 2006-04-17 12:41 am (UTC)As far as the description of mass panic as the roof started to come off the Dome, I didn't really see it that way...I thought it was pretty graceful. People were pretty much stunned as the storm went on- when the first chunk of the roof came off, you could here this massive, collective gasp. Then you could hear the hum of thousands of people praying, falling on their knees, calling out to Jesus...it was a trip. Indescribable, I'd say she's right about that. I felt like the real panic and chaos came after that, especially days later, when people became convinced they had stuck us all on a moat with the water rising around us, and planned to leave us all there to die. I guess if she left when the storm died down, the scene during was alot more intense.
