Yesterday the José Feliciano song came on the sound system at Dorignac's, and I found myself singing along to myself "FEMA'z Navidad..."

Flipping stations last night I caught "Feliz Navidad" on the radio and broke out into "FEMA'liz Navidad".

The decorations are no more. Fridge was picked up early last week, followed by the entire debris pile.

The day after the debris was cleared, as a mother walked past with her little daughter, I heard the little girl remark, "FEMA'liz Navidad is gone." When we first decorated the pile I was a bit aprehensive about how the neighbors might react, but I had nothing but positive comments.
