Also!

Supposedly my Zip Code was able to go to the post office to pick mail waiting for us.

I did today. They had exactly two pieces of 3rd class mail, from late August, waiting for me.

I checked with my Austin hosts; the only things that ever arrived there were things I had sent directly to Austin; no forwarded New Orleans mail ever arrived there.

I wonder if our Austin hosts have my Spongebob checkbook. I'm getting mail sent to me about every other day, but I may wait until we can get back there. Whatever.

That makes me feel a whole lot better about never putting in a change of address.

Because of the vast number of change of address requests, the post office is at least a month behind on processing them. The mail, at least on the MS Gulf Coast, seems to be about a month behind, too.

Your checks and some important stuff I was waiting for arrived at Bonner & Robbie's. Also my New Yorker magazine.

I'll have Bonner forward them/Fed-Ex them or something to one of our places when I'm more sure such things are working reliably.
