Michael "BEAR" Lemoine, R.I.P.

Just heard about the death of "Bear" Lemoine, trumpeter with various groups such as the Down N Dirty, Pair-O-Dice Tumblers, MOM's Royal Band, etc, former King of the Krewe of Dreiux, and authentic New Orleans colorfull character.



Bear is shown above blowing the flaming fanfare on his famous 3-headed snake trumpet that for years would herald the start of the Krewe of Kosmic Debris Parade on Mardi Gras Day.

Things won't be the same without him.

I didn't make any entry here yesterday, one of the USA's most tragically memorable days in over a generation.
