Yesterday one more too many bozos got the bomb, and the last section of New Orleans had its post-Katrina boil tap water order lifted.

A year ago I took a few photos around the high ground crescent, the least damaged fraction of the city, which recently had its boil water order lifted, electricity restored to a good portion of it, and IIRC the curfew pushed back to 10pm.

Angeli on Decatur in the French Quarter was one of the first regular post-K music venues. Like most of the early reopeners, the menu was limited and undistinguished in the early days, but the jazz was already excellent.
