It's kind of trivial compared to the human tragedy, but as a librarian and archivist, I wonder about the lost cultural artifacts. I understand that Tulane's jazz archive is on the third floor so it's probably ok, but think of the 300 years of history that people have in attics, basements and in drawers that is now gone. And all those great collections of Jelly Roll Morton 78s...
